5 FREE spay/neuters for World Spay Day
Gosport Cats Protection is marking World Spay Day 2017 on Tuesday 27 February by offering 5 FREE spay/neuters.

If you’re one of the first five owners living in the PO12, PO13 & PO14 areas who phone Chris on 02392 582601 on Tuesday 27/02/18 from 9am you could have your female or male cat neutered for FREE at Alver Vets. One cat per household only.

Created by the Doris Day Animal League in 1995 as Spay Day USA, World Spay Day on the last Tuesday of February promotes the neutering of pets and help combat the problem of homeless pets worldwide.
Recent research has shown that 70% of litters in the UK are unplanned - and that some of these litters are born to cats who are just four months old.
Our advice is simple - have your cat spayed at four months to protect her from getting pregnant.
Male cats should be neutered too, to protect them catching diseases and getting nasty injuries from fighting - a male cat which hasn’t been neutered is much more likely to fight over a female mate. Neutering can also help to stop male cats from spraying indoors - which can be really smelly. He’s also more likely to stay close to home as a neutered male cat is less likely to stray.
